The tech landscape is evolving rapidly. New interactions, new connections and new ways of thinking in M2M and IoT have rendered the global technological infrastructure obsolete. That is why Chirp is announcing the next step for the IoT industry. Our goal has always been to provide the network infrastructure that powers the future of technology, and today we have taken a great leap forward in that mission.

After more than a year of development, we are proud to announce that The Chirp Network is online and fully functional. In the coming months, we will launch the sale of our IoT gateway and expand the reach of the network across the globe.

We have built the world’s most advanced multi-protocol IoT network, the first to include dual-band LoRa, accessible to businesses or residences for enterprise-grade connectivity. By utilizing the spectrum band of 2.4Ghz, our network can connect devices regardless of regional specifications. The development network is currently hosted in four different countries, with dozens of IoT devices connected through our flagship IoT gateways, the Blackbirds.

The Blackbird is the orchestrator of your IoT network, with the ability to connect thousands of devices and granting unmatched levels of access to a vast number of technologies. We have secured the Chirp Network’s place at the forefront of M2M by taking IoT technologies to their extremes. We are pleased to announce that our network includes a fully functional, tried-and-tested support for LoRaWAN Class-C devices, with an online dashboard that enables full data visualization. In addition, we are also the first network to introduce support for BLE and Zigbee, unifying the segmented IoT space, and enabling users to utilize both indoor and outdoor devices. Beyond the unmatched range of LoRa, our gateways can be equipped with LTE and satellite backhaul, making the Blackbird easy to install even in the most remote areas of the world.

Chirp presents a fully functional IoT network

With our state-of-the-art dashboard, our Blackbird Keepers have the complete power to visualize data, manage, and activate device features on their IoT network from a central hub. We have highly prioritized the accessibility and depth of our interface with the aim to create an approachable platform for first-time users while remaining deep and customizable for IoT veterans. We will soon unveil our dashboard that will set a new gold-standard for accessibility in IoT.

The Chirp Network represents a major breakthrough in the advancement and accessibility of M2M technologies. We aim to break the status quo of consumer-grade IoT by making our Blackbird an enterprise-grade device with performance at its fullest extent, broadening the scope and quality for decentralized IoT infrastructure by making dual-band IoT available for everyone. The entire Chirp Network is powered by the newest, advanced Semtech chipsets, making it possible to geolocate any IoT device, even a temperature sensor, without a power hungry GPS. The entire Chirp network is powered by sub-GHz and the global license-free band of 2.4 GHz, allowing devices connected to our network to work anywhere in the world without regional constraints. In order for these features to work as intended, the entire network needs to be onboard. Competing networks will require a full hardware recall to enable these features, but our network is equipped with them from the very start. In addition, the Blackbird’s ultra-low power consumption of 5W, potentially as low as a LED light bulb, enhanced by LoRa satellite backhaul, allows the Blackbird to thrive in nearly any location on earth. All of this from a single device the size of a breadbox.

To incentivise expansion of the network, The Chirp Network itself is underpinned by a robust tokenomics system that rewards keepers for maintaining their Blackbird’s connection to the network. The Blackbird itself is a crypto miner that validates data transfer on the network, and its Keeper earns $CHIRP tokens just for keeping their Blackbird in its registered geolocation, online and verified. In order to ensure the security of our network’s tokenomics, the Blackbird utilizes both forms of its geolocation technology along with an abundance of security features to verify other miners on the network, making sure that everyone plays by the rules. The pairing of massive advancements in technology with smart and sustainable tokenomics will allow Chirp to spearhead IoT expansion to global proportions.

It has been a long road, but Chirp is finally ready to change the face of IoT. Now that we have the network up and running, it is time to focus on tokenization and a Gateway sale.

We will soon announce the full-scale launch of the Blackbird and begin serving the thousands of community members on our waitlist. We are all deeply excited to bring you the decentralized network of the future.
