The countdown to January 20, the official $CHIRP token launch and its listing on CEXs, has begun! This moment marks a significant milestone in Chirp’s journey, and we are excited to share the details of the CHIRP token distribution. These rewards are designed to celebrate our community’s unwavering support and engagement across marketing campaigns, CHIRP mining activities in Kage, and for our dedicated Keepers. First of all, we would like to share that the total reward pool for all pre-mainnet marketing campaigns has been increased to 1.73% of the total supply. All the details are in our article, dive in.
Keepers: Recognizing Pre-Mainnet Miner Connectors
Some of our Chirp Keepers have been with us from the start, building and strengthening the foundation of Chirp. A special thank you goes out to those who joined during the first Blackbird miner sale. We recognize and appreciate every Keeper for their essential role in providing IoT connectivity and growing the Chirp ecosystem. Your trust and early contributions have been critical to the success of our network.
Who Qualifies?
1,000,000 CHIRP tokens will be distributed to Keepers who connected, verified, and kept their Blackbird miners in good standing before the mainnet launch (January 20, 2025). Eligible Keepers hold the Nest NFT(s), representing the number of miners they operate. The last Nest NFT distribution and snapshot for Keepers was made on January 17, 2025 (details). Please keep in mind that Nest NFT doesn’t hold just a one-time reward — its holders will receive special benefits and perks in the Chirp ecosystem throughout the duration of the project!

Two factors determine Keepers’ reward amounts:
- The number of miners operating.
- The period each miner was connected to the Chirp network.

Data Hunters: First Kage Mining Distribution
Kage has become a hub for Chirp’s growing community, now with over 1 million players globally. We want to recognize the contributions of Kage players in creating the largest geolocation database and reward them with CHIRP tokens. Please note that our leaderboard has already undergone changes as we’ve implemented anti-spoofing and anti-cheating measures. We’ve excluded from the leaderboard players who invited bots as referrals or were found spreading misinformation about Chirp. We will continue monitoring the leaderboard and remove non-compliant players, including those who gained Data Chips by detecting fake Bluetooth signals. On January 20 at 12:00 CET, we will take a snapshot of the Kage leaderboard to determine players who will receive the first Kage mining rewards.
Who Qualifies?
The top 45,000 Data Hunters with the highest number of Data Chips and a connected Sui wallet to their Kage profile before January 20 will share a prize pool of 2,000,000 CHIRP tokens.
Exclusions:
- Players without a connected and verified wallet before January 20.
- Players found spoofing, cheating, or engaging in negative behavior (e.g., spreading misinformation).
- Player accounts created with the same email addresses.
- Players who invited over 30 referrals (these players are considered influencers and rewarded separately).
Replacement Process:
Excluded players will be replaced by the next eligible participants on the leaderboard. For example, if a player ranked #5 is excluded, they will be replaced by player #6, and so on until all 45,000 spots are filled with qualifying participants.

Kage Referral Program Winners
In Kage, players who have referred over 30 users are considered influencers. Rewards for influencers are determined not by the number of referrals but by the activity level of their invited users. We calculate the total Data Chips earned by all referrals and combine this with the influencer’s personal Data Chips. This approach ensures fairness by rewarding genuine efforts that bring in real, active players, rather than incentivizing the creation of non-active accounts. To recognize contributions, these players will be rewarded separately from the prize pool of 500,000 CHIRP tokens.

Kage First Round — New Mining Opportunities!
The First Kage Round begins on January 20 at 12:00 CET, offering players a fresh chance to become the top Kage miner and earn the highest CHIRP rewards. The First Round leaderboard will become visible to players at the end of the round, with the launch of the main Kage version. Until then, the current leaderboard will remain active, and all Data Chips earned by players will continue to accumulate there. For the First Round, progress will be tracked starting from zero Data Chips per player, recorded on our backend.
With the launch of the main Kage version, where Round Mechanics will be fully implemented, players will gain access to:
- A General Leaderboard showcasing total Data Chips earned since the beginning.
- Rounds Leaderboards, including the First Round, highlighting the top performers of each round.
Before the main Kage release, several updates may be introduced, including new features like special missions and an in-game map. Additionally, we will launch our Wings of Chronos permanent AR challenge, where Kage players can detect real and virtual objects holding special bonuses and rewards while detecting wireless signals. More details will follow with each update.

Marketing Campaigns Rewards
To all our challenge, contest, and giveaway winners, congratulations! Your enthusiasm and engagement have been a driving force for Chirp, and we’re excited to reward your efforts with 1,630,000 CHIRP tokens.
Who Qualifies?
- Zealy Campaign Winners: Participants who accumulated at least 2,500 XP, with higher engagement earning greater rewards.
- Chirp Tracker App Campaign Winners: Winners of Tropee, Gleam, and Leaderboard challenges (with at least five active days). Participants were required to hold an Egg NFT on their Sui wallet, while Embryo and Skyward NFTs provided reward boosts. A snapshot for airdrop eligibility was taken on November 7, 2024.
- Other Campaign Winners: Includes winners of the Common Wealth Campaign, Blackbird High Spot Challenge, DePIN Miner Contest on Tropee, Embryo NFT Campaign on Tropee, and the DePIN Revolution Giveaway.
Exclusions:
- Participants who haven’t specified their Sui wallet or provided non-Sui wallet addresses.
- Participants caught cheating or engaging in negative behavior (e.g., spreading misinformation).
Airdrop Distribution Date:
All rewards will be distributed on January 20, 2025.
Rewards Claim:
All claiming operations will take place on the Chirp platform. To claim rewards, connect (and verify!) your Sui wallet as your Rewards Wallet, which was used or specified during marketing campaigns.
