Hello Chirp Community!

We’re thrilled to bring you the third edition of our Development Diary. Our team has been hard at work over the past two sprints, and we’re eager to share the fruits of our labor. This update is brimming with new features, enhancements, and fixes, all designed to improve your experience with the Chirp DePIN Network.

New Features Added

  1. Gateways List and Gateway Page: We’ve introduced a comprehensive gateways list and individual gateway pages, making navigation and management more intuitive.
  2. Device and Gateway Settings Tabs: Customize and configure your devices and gateways with ease using the new settings tabs on their respective pages.
  3. Enhanced Device Log Pagination: We’ve improved the device log pagination for faster and more efficient page switching.
  4. Dashboard Redesign: The “Dashboard” has undergone a significant makeover, replaced by more user-friendly user board, device, and gateway pages.
  5. Explorer Page Redesign: Enjoy a more spacious map experience on our redesigned Explorer page, now presented without a header.
  6. Changelog Visibility: Stay informed about the latest updates as our changelog is now accessible to all followers of the project, without the need to log in. Check it out here.
  7. Mobile View Improvements: We’ve made several enhancements to the mobile view for a smoother, more responsive experience.
  8. Sim Card Table Enhancements: For users with enabled SIM cards, the sim card table now features a new header, improved column titles, and more precise data usage measurements.
  9. Simplified LoRaWAN Device Addition: Adding a LoRaWAN device to the platform is now simpler and partially automated.
  10. Clickable Device Logs: Delve deeper into your device logs, which are now clickable to reveal complete message contents.

Support for new devices

  • Our platform backend is now equipped to service GPS devices using cellular protocols.
  • New Devices Added: We’ve expanded our device compatibility with a range of Dragino devices (D20-LB, DDS45-LB, DSO3A-LB, GroPoint Air, LA66, LDS02, LDS12-LB, LHT52, LHT65N, LT-22222-L, LTC2, LWL02, PS-LB, S31-LB, SE01-LB, SPH01-LB, SW3L-LB, TrackerD, WLO3A-LB) and Seed Studios T1000. Additionally, Abeeway trackers — Compact Tracker, Industrial Tracker, Micro Tracker, Smart Badge, and the RAK 7201 device are now supported.

Bug Fixes

  • Design Tweaks: We’ve made a series of design adjustments, including icons, fonts, shadows, and element sizes.
  • Favorites Error: Fixed an issue where removing a device from favorites caused an error.
  • Device Modal Issue: Resolved a problem with selecting sub-locations in the add device modal.
  • Dragino LDS02 Graph Delays: Addressed delays in status updates on graphs for Dragino LDS02.
  • Shared Device Error: Fixed a bug where shared device updates returned a 404 error.
  • Mobile View Menu Blockage: Corrected an issue where the menu blocked the mobile view.
  • Map Point Visibility: Ensured map points are displayed even if a sublocation is not set.
  • Tablet Layout Improvements: Enhanced the mobile version layout for tablet users.
  • AS923 LoRaWAN Frequency: Fixed an issue with the AS923 LoRaWAN frequency setting.
